EURO VEG OILS
Palm oil on the European vegetable oils market edged lower on Friday following slightly lower Malaysian palm oil futures on weak exports and due to a lower tone in both CBOT soyoil and energy markets.
At 1700 GMT, CBOT soyoil futures were between 0.76 and 1.20 cents per pound up on the outlook for a bumper Brazilian soybean harvest despite dry weather. Weak energy prices also weighed.
EU rapeoil was mostly quoted between five and eight  euros per tonne lower following the weaker tone in both Chicago soyoil and European rapeseed futures on the outlook for less tight global oilseed supplies.
Lauric oils were mostly offered between unchanged and $20 a tonne lower, following weakness in most other vegetable oils. Palmkernel oil prices were mostly nominal. The spread between coconut oil and the usually cheaper palmkernel oil was $170 a tonne for March/April shipment.
PALM
Malaysian palm oil futures extended losses for a second session on Monday, tracking declines in rival vegetable oils on the Dalian Commodity Exchange and Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT).
The benchmark palm oil contract for April delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange fell 49 ringgit, or 1.5%, to 3,233 ringgit ($799.26) a tonne by midday.
Prices are down due to spillover weakness from external markets, » a Kuala Lumpur-based trader told Reuters.
Palm oil is affected by price movements in related oils as they compete for a share in the global vegetable oils market.
SOYBEAN
Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures fell on Friday, ending the week lower for the first time in six weeks.
For the week, CBOT’s most-active soybean contract lost $1.05, dropping 7.4%, its biggest decline since July 4, 2014.
The USDA said old-crop U.S. soybean export sales totaled 1.818 million tonnes in the week ended Jan. 14, above trade forecasts for 750,000 to 1.5 million tonnes. New-crop sales were 831,000 tonnes, also above forecasts that ranged from 350,000 to 600,000 tonnes.
Additionally, the USDA on Friday morning reported private sales of 136,000 tonnes of U.S. soybeans to China for shipment in the 2020/21 season.
Brazilian farmers are poised to reap a record harvest of 132.2 million tonnes of soybeans in 2021 despite a drought that delayed plantings, according to the average of estimates in a poll of 13 analysts on Friday.
FISH OIL
Peru
Fishing so far this week (Monday-Thursday) has continued its decreasing trend with 59.285 mt reported (whereof about 50% on Monday and 10-13.000 mt each of the following days), bringing the total to 2.425.117 mt against the 2,78 mill mt quota. The season is now expected to be stopped rather imminent (around 25 January) as the anchovy will soon be in full spawning.
As expected, the Ministry of Production has declared the end of the second fishing season as of Monday Jan-25, 0:00 hrs:
CHILE – The fishing year has started in a modest fashion, some improvement last week but fishing ban (due to spawning) in most of the North from Thursday. 
We do not hear of active selling interest.
